My nearly 2 year old son had a nasty accident today (the wheel came off his buggy and it flipped, whilst we were out running). He's fractured his top front tooth. He's been seen by the emergency dentist at Kings, but may need more treatment. Can anyone recommend a paediatric dentist - doesn't matter if private, NHS, local or central London?

Thanks

Thanks for all the replies and pms. Sadly my son had his tooth extracted this morning by the Kings paediatric dentistry team, but at least it is now sorted. The care we received there was excellent (can't quite say the same about the out of hours dentistry service provided by SELDOC).

For those with a Babyjogger City Mini buggy - it's probably worth regularly checking the wheels, particularly if you run with it. I will be emailing the manufacturer too. I wouldn't want anyone else to end up in our situation.

Thanks again.

I'm so sorry he lost his tooth. Hope he's ok otherwise. :(

Just adding that the Mountain Buggy Swift also seems prone to tip over if you're not handling it as prescribed (e.g. one handed steering with an 18 month old in the buggy and going over a bump (walking fast, not running). Of course, I should have held it with two hands but it doesn't hurt warning other parents... otherwise great buggy.

I am so sorry to hear about your son. I also have a citi mini. I am not sure if you know that the manufacturer does not recommend using the citi mini to run or jog. They market it as an urban stroller. on the website it gives more info. I think the brand name makes it misleading.

    • On the nostalgia side, I don't think anything can replace the clatter of the metal crates and the whirr of the milk float making its short hops.  Spartacus wrote: >Blimey Sue  >That was a rough neighbourhood if the birds were nicking your bottles. 😅 Which leads precariously to even more nostalgia here: https://www.facebook.com/groups/446783695525873/posts/2409887992548757/
    • I highly recommend anyone wanting to learn manual driving to use Nicholas Driving academy, great instructor who makes things easy to learn while being calm and fun reducing stress. Highly recommend!
    • I view this as a bit of unnecessary political point scoring. I mean, it's not as if she has more important things on her mind. She should get a rap on the knuckles but resignation? I don't think so. Quite how the Tories have the temerity to point fingers after the shambles and outright corruption that took place over Covid, I really don't know.
    • I did check that Tesco were the applicants on at least one of the 7 May forms.  I would be interested to know what Monica has seen.  Possibly some other formal annnouncement somewhere, or the LL traders' grapevine (which I'd guess is generally reliable)?  I wondered if it might have been a licensing matter, but don't see any mention in the licensing sub-committee's 16 October meeting agenda. In the meantime, I'm not even assuming that Tesco are taking the lease.
