How about everyone being recognised for their criminality as well?

1) Reduce UK's exposure to banks

2) Rather than privatising public sector turn them into co-operatives

3) Invest more in the creativity industries

4) Give NHS freedom from political meddling

5) Give bonuses for success in export markets

6) Reduce taxation levels for the lower to middle incomes as these people are likely to spend more in this country unlike the rich 1% where they would spend elsewhere

7) Better planning policies to incorporate better timeless designs and longevity

8) More financial education.

9) Limitations on banking, CBI, etc lobbying

10) Increasing lobbying representatives for communities and marginalised groups

11) A fairer and open press that doesn't represent the views of a decrepit Aussie

12) Giving Unions the same powers given to Danish Unions

13) Better thought out transport policies that fitsahead of its time

14) Link success of industries to hollistic targets

Now lots of those are very good ideas (except number 4, it would be a bloody disaster), but can you honestly see ANY government being able to pull that off?

If you released that as your election manifesto, lots of people would applaud it, and you'd win the votes of many many students, but real people in real jobs, whatever class they belong to, wouldn't be able to vote for you, because of real life.

But redistributing wealth is a noble cause.

If it was a copy and paste job then you should be able to google the source. Good luck to finding it because the source came from me.

Edited to add: I'm going out so see you all tomorrow for more kick ass action from UDT.

I did a search on 'Danish' and can't find your comment UDT?

Re. Your comments...

'Reducing exposure to banks' as point 1 - that was my question, yeah how?

Public Sector is already cooperative, you daft wally.

Investing more in creative is an odd policy commitment, how much more and what do you think the return will be? It's esoteric, hardly working man stuff.

NHS freedom is supposed to do what? Increase expenditure? Decrease? How does that solve banking crisis?

Bonuses already exist for exports. Do you want government to pay them now?

Reduce taxation? *yawn* doesn't everyone?

Better planing designs? WTF? Is this anything to do with anything?

And so on.....

Dishonest tactics like facts and evidence. Hmmm, I can understand why you find those challenging UDT.

    • Thanks for your feedback - we always appreciate hearing from members about their experience. The pool temperature at JAGS Sports Club is maintained at 29oC, in line with industry guidelines for mixed-use pools.  This temperature has been designed to balance comfort for lane swimmers and families. Air temperature is also monitored regularly to ensure a comfortable environment for swimmers, spectators and staff. The shower Temperature Mixing Valves (TMVs) were changed in December to improve consistency, and we hope this has made a noticeable difference. If you would like to discuss your experience in more detail, please contact us directly at [email protected] or 020 8613 6500 and we'll be really happy to help.
    • One wonders if he would have defected if he had, ahem, held on to the leadership of Southwark and whether he felt that "Labour are no longer the vehicle for social justice" during his leadership election........my how quickly things change in the thoughts of a politician 😉 I think this sums things up quite nicely: A senior Southwark Labour spokesperson hit back: “Local residents can draw their own conclusions about Cllr McAsh’s swift move from Labour leadership hopeful to the Green Party, after he didn’t get his own way. While he’s thinking about his own career, Southwark Labour are delivering for residents.” One wonders if he will stand as a Green candidate in Goose Green.
    • No doubt if he determines to stand for a ward he will enlighten us - at least his track record is one of using this site to communicate (inter alia). I would suspect that (1) his personal views on traffic will have remained consistent but that (2) his views on local democracy and proper consultation will have as well.
    • Yes, but I want to know where he stands on all this stuff now. My feeling is it won't be any different from Labour?
