This is a very nice set of shelves - very strong - can take lots of books, records, plants etc. Made from steel so slender but very strong. Still on sale in Ikea for ?115, selling for ?65, great condition - used for just over a year - only selling as wont fit in new place.

  It's quite a steep step from memory. The ramp would have to be quite a few feet long to make the angle shallow enough to be safe. Maybe I'm wrong - not an expert.
