Please remove name, address from papers, as a Woman was looking through my bins and wouldn't stop even though I banged on the window and shouted out to her, I came out and asked what she was doing looking for in my bins, she said shoes and then went off to look in the next bins next door, my daughter got in her car and followed her up the road and she was getting people's letters with name and address's on, so my daughter pulled them off her and told the resident of the home. He said this isn't the first time she done this to his mail.

the audacity.

I had a person in my front garden trying to take my garden table. Even when I went out and asked what they were doing in my garden there was no indication that they were doing anything wrong. in fact they just continued and seemed annoyed I was asking questions.

Always shred documents and keep an eye on your credit files - this is where you will first find fraudulent loans etc in your name.

I seen this aswell. usually groups of two woman at 7am and again at 1pm with a shopping trolley. they go around every street, from all the side streets on Peckham road through to dog kennel hill, and they do it EVERYDAY. They don't just look in the bin they get right in it and could care less if anyone looks at them. It's very unsettling to know someone is on your property digging through your bins.

always take your name off anything you throw out, better still get a shredder.

    • I am no expert, but are your photos not saved in Google or similar, as well as being on your physical  phone? If so, you should just be able to access them on your new phone without actually having to move them over? Same with emails, normally, you just have to sign into your email account on your new phone to access them? Not sure re contacts, but I don't recall having any problems when getting a new phone. And apps you can just reinstall. Google or something like ChatGPT could probably "talk" you through sorting, deleting and editing photos and emails, if you can't find someone to help (sorry I can't, I'd be too worried about doing something wrong!) Good luck! Don't delete anything from your old phone until you are sure it's on your new phone!
    • Do you have a link to this? The only one i could find was on the 24th July
    • Yes and I heard the other day that there is a higher conviction rate with trials heard by only a judge, vs juries, which makes sense when you think about it.  Also - call me cynical - I can't help but think that this justice reform story was thrown out to overshadow the Reeves / OBR / Budget story.  But I do agree with scrapping juries for fraud cases.
    • judges are, by definition, a much narrower strata of society. The temptation to "rattle through" numbers, regardless of right, wrong or justice is fundamentally changed If we trust judges that much, why have we ever bothered with juries in the first place? (that's a rhetorical question btw - there is no sane answer which goes along the lines of "good point, judges only FTW"
