I?m looking for a professional, couple or a small family to rent my wonderful split level garden flat in the heart of Herne Hill.

It's right opposite the park and just 30 sec walk to the train station, it's ideally located for local living and getting into town (Victoria/ Kings X).

It has an open plan kitchen/living room with a double bedroom with en suite shower to the rear of the flat, and sole use of a private garden and patio.

The second bedroom could be used as a study, for a child or guests and is on another floor.

Right in the middle of all the bars, cafes and bistros that Herne Hill has to offer, it would suit a professional couple, siblings sharing or a small family and is available for rent from late April. Viewing can be arranged now and it's available on a long let only...

It comes semi furnished. Rent is ?1650 exclusive of bills. I'm a private landlady so no agent fees involved.

No Agents need apply either.

I'm local too, so contact me for more pictures (sorry attached are so small!) or to arrange to take a look. If needs be I'm sure the current tenants would be willing to talk to you about the area too.

Thanks

Hi,

I'm looking for a two bedroom apartment for me and my son (3 years old). IS your property still available? Do you have any more photos? Could I also take the street address so I can check it's in the right catchment for his school.

Thanks

Tiffany

    • First of all, conversations with people who aren't Corbyn supporters are obviously going to tell you why those people didn't vote for him, aren't they? Second (and I don't know why I have to keep on saying this) the electoral system worked against him in terms of seats lost. If you look at the actual numbers of votes per party, yes Labour was behind, but not by as much as it appeared if just seats were counted. Thirdly, that poll was of "nearly 500" people who stopped voting Labour. That's not a very big sample, is it? Of those, 35% said it was because of Jeremy Corbyn's leadership (i.e. 65% had other reasons). Even upping the numbers to  500 people, 35% is 175. 10,269,051  people did actually vote Labour in that election. It's a long time since I used statistics for anything, so please correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think anything you have said is "evidence"!
    • Dog kennel isn't a great name for a school. I agree that it's ridiculous for the name to put anyone off going there, but don't see any issue with them rebranding if the parents and children prefer a new name. The school is surrounded by historical 'groves' (reflected in the names of Camberwell Grove, Grove park and Grove Vale for example), so it's not a totally random name.
    • It might help if there are body cams to record evidence and a presence maybe a deterrent but I very much doubt a park warden would intervene with obnoxious and violent thugs - children or not. We need police for that.
    • I had a leaky toilet cistern and Niko came out the same day and not only fixed the leak but thoroughly cleaned off the years of calcium build-up. His attention to detail was matched by his kind humanity. The result was a completely renovated toilet which has never worked more efficiently as well as 'service with a smile'. MANY THANKS NIKO!!!
