Full time nanny required in West Norwood

Recommended Posts

We are looking for a live out nanny to look after our 8 month old baby boy and our two older sons, 5 and 8 (who are currently attending school in West Norwood) from 8 until 5pm Monday to Friday. The role is to start end of May/beginning of June. As the role will involve dropping off and picking up our two eldest boys from school, you must be able to drive.

The job involves the following:

- cooking healthy, varied and balanced meals for the children

- taking the baby to the park, local playgroups and activities, and on play dates with other children of a similar age

- taking our two eldest boys to and from school and after-school clubs

- ad hoc babysitting from time to time in the evening, planned in advance

- keeping children?s toys and bedrooms tidy and organised

- some washing and ironing of the children's clothes

It?s important to us that our children are read to and are encouraged in lots of messy and creative play. I?d also be keen for them to be outdoors and active as much as possible, and would love to hear from someone who is happy to plan the odd trip to central London to make the most of all the wonderful museums and sights we have on our doorstep. We want someone keen with ideas, who will follow our general routine but is also happy to make suggestions and come up with ideas of things to do, food to eat, social activities etc.

A bit about us: we are fun loving, warm family, that loves entertaining our family and friends, making food together and getting out and experiencing the world ? whether that?s a game of rugby at the weekend or adventurous holidays. Our eldest is very creative, plays guitar and loves music and drama, our middle child is very active and a keen rugby player and the baby is a happy, contented, smiley baby who is a joy to be around.

Our home town of West Norwood is a great area for kids. There are lots of interesting playgroups and activities at the new library and cinema and the newly refurbished South London Theatre, as well as the leisure centre and we have a skate park, playground and football pitch right next to our house. The larger parks of Brockwell, Crystal palace and Dulwich are all a ten minute drive or bus journey away.

The ideal person for this job would be a sociable, sensible, positive nanny for whom nannying is a career and who is interested in encouraging the development of our children. We would like someone ideally who lives nearby and/or has a good knowledge of the local playgroups and activities. Non-smokers only please.

If you think this job is of interest, please respond with a CV. Must have a recent DBS, and first aid certificate, and be Ofsted registered (or willing to be). References mandatory. Pay subject to negotiation and experience.

I have a good indication, my husband's sister is in need of a new job, her boss is going to the united states, she has been working in this branch for more than 8 years. she directs and has good references, if you want to know more please enter to count on me and I'll give you her number. +447778680872

    • Hello East Dulwich families 👋 I wanted to introduce myself to the community. I’m a professional family & wedding photographer with 14+ years of experience, and I split my time between the US and London throughout the year. I’ll be based in London for the coming weeks and would love to photograph more local families here in East Dulwich. My approach is very relaxed and natural — no stiff posing, no pressure — just real connection, movement, and the beautiful everyday moments that tell your family’s story. I work especially well with kids and parents who feel “awkward” in front of the camera (which honestly is most of us!). Sessions can take place at home, in the park, on your favourite street, or anywhere that feels meaningful to you. The goal is to create images that feel like your life — not a photoshoot. If anyone has been thinking about documenting this season with their children, I’d love to connect, answer questions, or simply share examples of my work. No pressure at all — just happy to be here and meet some neighbours. You can see my work here: https://bluesparkphotography.com/family/ (use the contact page on the site to send me a message if you're interested!).
    • I don't! But I've also taken to calling myself David, as it seems to shorten the odds of achieving something in life. It's not King Dave, Dave Lloyd George, Dave Hockney, Dave Bowie or Dave Hasselhoff is it? And I'm not sure Michelangelo would have had such success if he'd called his sculpture 'Dave'.
    • I think there is still a shoes/clothes recycling bank outside of North Dulwich station.
