A205 near Brockley rise closed most of the day 'police incident'

Was surprised to see it closed on the way out at 10.30 this morning and still shut at 4pm - BBC traffic news says a 'police incident' - on the way back there was actually a catering van there

none of my business of course but anyone know what's going on over there?

According to Yahoo News, a man with a machete was trying to steal a car in Elsinore Road at 5.40 am. The police were called, he threatened them with the machete (in Stanstead road) and he got shot and he is critical but stable.
