Recommendations for kitchen and bathroom renovation

My boyfriend and I are looking to renovate our flat. We had a builder recommended to us and lined up for the work, but unfortunately he's not able to do the work for quite a while due to personal reasons.

As neither of us are from London, and we don't have many friends who've had work done, we don't have anywhere to turn for recommendations. We've heard some horror stories in the past, so we want to go with someone we feel we can trust based on their previous work.

Can anyone recommend a builder(s) based on their own experience. We want to get the following work done:

- Ikea kitchen refit

- Bathroom refit

- Plastering walls

- Fitting new floor throughout flat

- Fitting new radiators and doors

If you are able to recommend someone, i'd be really grateful if you could include pictures of the work. Thanks very much in advance!

Hi Laura, I've recently used a guy called Paulo Martin. I have done major renovations to my house over the past year, bathrooms kitchen etc, he did the lot and he was brilliant. Really good value for money considering the level of finish - specialised in high-end joinery but works across all construction skills. I'm currently working on his website (believe it or not he hasn't currently got one) I'm sure as soon as this is complete he'll be hard to get hold of but I know he has some capacity now.
