Just to say a big thanks to Georgia for organising last night, my first gathering & hopefully not my last! Had a great time meeting everyone who knew all the places in ED! Great for someone who's just moved here got in at 5.30 this morning! Not what I imagined ha! Great! Thanks again here's to the next one

Thanks to Georgia for organising, and to the Cherry Tree for the good service and warm welcome - the prosecco and nibbles were a very thoughtful touch.

I'd never been inside the pub in the 7 years I'd lived in the area, always looked rather unwelcoming from the outside, but I would go back now.

Just needs a few more people to make the effort to go off Lordship Lane and visit them.

That is usually how it works - also the organizer usually books a table at the pub to make sure there's somewhere to sit together - has been known to have twenty or more turn up to these if well publicized in advance.

Be nice if someone new took on the responsibility to set up, it often falls to the same people which is a little unfair.

    • Thought it had been a fish and chip shop at one time?
    • Try Gentrification, those with more money than sense who constantly want something different, when pie and mash isn't good enough for them.  "Argentinian Cornish pasties" give3 me a proper Cornish pastie any day of the week, at least I'd be supporting something traditionally British.   ps. tin hat at the ready........................🤣
    • You really have to go and look at the schools yourself, and do some research. My children went to the same school in different years and had very different experiences. Different school focus on different things. It's very personal. We bought close to the school I wanted to go to, and then moved a bit later, when they were old enough to travel on their own.
    • Not even remotely close to the catchment for charter north over there and would imagine outskirts of east (tho should check recent years). Would leave the Harris’s as more guaranteed options so maybe have a look at those and see if you’d be happy with them as a fallback
