Stunning Large Antique African Tribal Carving Mask 36" Tall - 3Ft Vintage Ethnographic ?80 ONO

Recommended Posts

A fabulous large antique African mask. It is a beautiful quality ethnographic piece, wonderful vintage patina to the wood. Hand-carved (you can see the tooling marks on the interior). It pretty heavy so I would imagine it was meant to be a decorative piece. Lovely carving to the mask with triangular patterns decorating the centre and beading to the top. Measures 91cm in length - approx 3ft and 31cm (12") at the widest point. ?80 ONO It is an excellent example of African hand carving, it's a great quality piece. Cash on collection, buyer to collect from Goose Green roundabout end of Lordship Lane.

    • Hi, does anyone have their up to date number please?
    • I imagine Franco Manca's business dropped off quite a bit when Yard Sale opened (though isn't Yard Sale delivery only?) But in any case, both of those are chains.
    • Thanks. I'll call them shortly as I could get there without the car.  That's good of Sainsburys! We've done the apple pie and tart thing, an ongoing muesli thing and the coleslaw thing - just not sure what effect all the sugars are having on our digestive tracts.  If we were in Somerset and had a press, I'd consider it. Can't be that diffcult, can it?
    • One time Sainsbury's delivered 6 bags of apples instead of 6 single apples which I couldn't possibly get through. I phoned Pecan in Peckham to ask if they would accept them despite their website stating no fresh foods. I must have phoned at just the right time as they were happy to accept them. Sainsburys gave me a refund so the donation was courtesy of them. Or you could experiment with all kinds of apple recipes and write a blog about it
