Tree Surgeon Recommended

I have used David for a tree removal job.

I got 3 quotes - he was competitively priced, took away all the wood and tidied up

I highly recommend him.

I used someone else for another job, got his number from a card put through the door (family business, friendly etc)

He said that the chainsaw would be damaged and need replacing (?40) and that it would be quite a job to kill the roots - he would have to put chainsaw in deep into the trunk (in fact it was a few inches).

I rashly agreed to his price. The job actually took 20 minutes - which means that his hourly rate is closer to that of a brain surgeon.

He didn't clear up at all - this was agreed, but I had got the impression the job would be a bit more involved.

The chainsaw clearly wasn't damaged as after he had a go at another tree and the cuts were clean.

Stupidly, I didn't get a receipt. Have asked for one, but no sign of it yet.

David got back to me with a quote after job was done and it was half the price!

My bad. Lesson learned.

    • Dear all, Bit of a random ask but in such a supportive and accepting community, I thought I'd see if anyone had time to help 🙂 I'm conducting research for my MSc Psychology dissertation, using a brief anonymous survey to explore attitudes towards intimate and non-monogamous relationships and how/if this interacts with factors such a family history and family making. The survey should take no longer than 10 mins and has been approved by the University of Roehampton. I'm hoping to circulate the survey widely enough that the data gathered is representational of the diversity in modern society across various aspects that constitutes personal identity. Some of the questions are of a personal nature and although could be considered a bit 'spicy', so just to reiterate, this is an anonymous survey. • Not being paying any attention but think most Co provide SIM   small or larger  - comes as standard. Have heard good things about Lebara - all on line, not tested yet, but almost there.  Arrives 24/48 hours, SIM arrives - really cheap like £6 per month.. but like as mentioned , have to use maybe once a month - others can help more than I
