We use the East Dulwich Supper Club as a training opportunity for our younger staff and service may be a little slower than should be expected. Because of this we give 100% of our profits to Westminster House Youth Club in Nunhead which is spent on cookery classes for their youngsters. It is because guests dine with us that we are able to offer training and work to local young people and in return offer support to this wonderful charity. For this we thank you all

Please do take a look at the menu and book your place. Its a wonderful night out and mostly local people

Thank you for reading

  • 2 weeks later...

Due to illness, I have a spare ticket for tonight's supper club. It cost ?32 - but any reasonable offer accepted as is a pity to let such excellent food go to waste. They are communal tables so ideal for lone diners (like I will be tonight).

    • I was replying to Jazzer, who said it wasn't going to change Trump's presence here. However, you are also obviously right, and also  nothing will change Trump for the better. And yes, this could be counter productive. But I'm sure the silver tongued Keir Starmer will be able to smooth things over. Not to mention the King and Queen 🤢  I think it's right that people should feel able to make their feelings known. It appears to be  a peaceful and well planned demonstration, and presumably they won't be bringing out the Baby Trump inflatable again, which must be well deflated by now.
    • Its a few years ago now, but I organised my end of year prom (for year 13) at Off the Cuff in Herne Hill - was on the cheaper side to rent and at that age, felt very cool and clubby. I had my own 18th at Whirled Cinema in Loughborough Junction but I'm not sure if they take event bookings like that anymore
    • You are right . It isn't going to change him for the better. Sending such a negative message is potentially counter-productive. Trump is narcissistic, arrogant, unpredictable, spiteful, divisive, and dishonest, with a penchant for a total a disregard for democratic norms.  He is one who bears a grudge so there's a case to be made for not offending him as he could react with a bunch of  adverse actions  such as  deciding to increase import tariffs on UK exports to the US.
    • Unless we don't fly I don't think we can be too critical of the authorities.
