Expert Drum Tuition offered in ED and surrounding areas

Recommended Posts

Hello! I'm a very experienced music teacher, especially with kids, and I'd love to get a bit of extra work as I'm getting married which turns out is quite an expensive thing to do...

If you or your child wants to learn the drums, I can help. I've got several years experience, in schools and private lessons in people's homes, and I'm a music graduate (BMus Hons, Jazz studies, 1st class.)

I am also a jazz pianist and can happily teach you or your child jazz piano. We can learn new songs, learn about harmony and scales, learn to read music and write our own music too.

No boring, dry, theory-heavy lessons, we'll make learning as fun and enjoyable as possible!

I am currently available on Fridays and Saturdays and can travel to your home. My rate is ?40/hour, or if it's for your child a full hour can be a bit much, I can do ?30 for half hour sessions. Looking forward to getting started with you!

Hi Simon,

My boyfriend is a keen piano player having been taught by his Father from an early age. He has now slipped a bit and needs some lessons to get back into the swing of things. We are based in Herne Hill. Do you still have available slots?

Many Thanks,

Ayanthi

    • Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken. Please get in touch if you’re interested or know someone who might be. Thank you!
    • Hi  I really thought I'd seen a more recent post on the forum about home education meet ups. I can't find it though. • Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.
    • Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
