Not so local as the one under Peckham Arch but very close to a good coffee shop (see pic). This is Cafe Crol and it is at the junction of Dunton Road and Lynton Road on Quietway 1, London's best quietway. This free pit stop for bikes is funded by Southwark Cyclists and staffed by our volunteers under the supervision of south-east London's top pro mechanic (second pic).

They carry small parts such as cables and fix a lot of stuff by knowing what to do. They give advice -- "you need new brakes" and "you should clean your chain" being typical findings. They will fit parts if you bring them with you so if you know or suspect that you need new brake pads then bring them along.

The knowledge base on display is impressive and if you decide you want to know more they will re-direct you to our indoor sessions with hands-on help and tuition. These are in the Lettsom Tenants Hall at 114 Vestry Road SE5 8PQ.

  As I understand it Charlie Smith did put himself forward for selection in GG but Labour members chose someone else to represent them, Liam McGrath https://southwarklabour.com/our-candidates/ It'll be interesting to see if there are other defections - surely the Greens want a drip, drip, drip of news from now to May suggesting the momentum is with them.

  Thanks for your feedback - we always appreciate hearing from members about their experience. The pool temperature at JAGS Sports Club is maintained at 29oC, in line with industry guidelines for mixed-use pools. This temperature has been designed to balance comfort for lane swimmers and families. Air temperature is also monitored regularly to ensure a comfortable environment for swimmers, spectators and staff. The shower Temperature Mixing Valves (TMVs) were changed in December to improve consistency, and we hope this has made a noticeable difference.   One wonders if he would have defected if he had, ahem, held on to the leadership of Southwark and whether he felt that "Labour are no longer the vehicle for social justice" during his leadership election........my how quickly things change in the thoughts of a politician 😉 I think this sums things up quite nicely: A senior Southwark Labour spokesperson hit back: “Local residents can draw their own conclusions about Cllr McAsh’s swift move from Labour leadership hopeful to the Green Party, after he didn’t get his own way. While he’s thinking about his own career, Southwark Labour are delivering for residents.” One wonders if he will stand as a Green candidate in Goose Green.

  No doubt if he determines to stand for a ward he will enlighten us - at least his track record is one of using this site to communicate (inter alia). I would suspect that (1) his personal views on traffic will have remained consistent but that (2) his views on local democracy and proper consultation will have as well.
