Join us at Rye Books for the launch of alternative travel guide 'Rebel Footprints 2' on Tuesday 30th April, 7pm.

'Rebel Footprints' is the radical response to conservative heritage tours and banal day-tripper guides. It brings to life the history of social movements in our beloved capital. Transporting readers from well-known landmarks to history-making hidden corners, author David Rosenberg tells the story of protest and struggle in London from the early 19th to the mid-20th century.

The first edition of Rebel Footprints proved extremely popular, and there is great anticipation for this new, second edition. We are very excited to have David join us for a book launch and Q&A on 30th April. Tickets are ?3 and can be redeemed against the price of the book on the night.

  Love your comment about “shoehorned” - put a smile on my face..! As for comment about “Little Waitrose” ummmm - never really thought about it. Personally, could not care less. But guess Sainsbury Local and Tesco Express are to you more acceptable.. Ultimately, when I think about it, I actually don’t care what they call themselves - been lured by partially branding and partially convenience and what they offer in groceries.

  They have a convenience chain branded 'Little Waitrose', which puts me off them a bit. I m not sure why. Waitrose is a much smaller chain than any of the others, including M&S, which may explain why they're not here.

  I believe the key issue is the available size of shops. Waitrose, unlike M&S does not, I believe, have a small outlet offering which could be shoehorned into LL except in one or two spots.

  I do not know how old you are, but if you are clearly an older person ( please forgive if not the case) I think what these kids did is even more despicable. It seems clear this is not just misguided hijinks.
