Streatham and Malborough Cricket Club (located on the corner of Dulwich Common/Lordship Lane despite its name!) are looking for more girls, especially in school years 5-7, to play league cricket this year. Why not come along next week and give it a go?

Most clubs have the boys playing hard-ball and the girls playing soft-ball. Not SMCC! The girls love hard ball cricket - with pads and gloves and helmets. It's great fun. They love it and they want more girls to come along and play alongside them.

All abilities are welcome, coaching provided by professional coaches.

SMCC is a fun, inclusive and sociable club. https://www.smccjuniors.co.uk/2019-summer-term-cricket-season/girls-teams . My daughter has been playing since Yr4 (now in year 7) and it is a fantastic team sport for girls - very supportive, lots to learn but lots of fun - the girls are a really lovely bunch.

You can register for a taster session, just fill in the registration form online and then email [email protected] to let the club know your daughter wants to give it a go.

P.S. Don't worry about protective kit - there will be plenty that they can borrow.

    • John recently skimmed the walls in our front room lounge, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the result. From start to finish, he was professional, punctual, and easy to work with.   He arrived on time each day and kept me updated on progress, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. The quality of his plastering is smooth, even, and ready to paint with minimal prep. He takes real pride in his work.   John was also very tidy, laying down protective sheets and cleaning up thoroughly after the job was done. It’s clear he respects his clients’ homes, which I really appreciated.   On top of that, he’s friendly, approachable, and trustworthy someone you feel comfortable having in your home. His pricing was fair and transparent, with no unexpected costs.   Highly recommended if you're looking for a skilled and reliable plasterer. I’ll definitely be using him again for any future work.
    • You what???   Think you Should have gone to woodfalls 😁
    • Your second point contradicts your first (and previous post)
    • I'm guessing they're busy. I found out just now that the SNT has tracked down the kids who attacked my dog, had strong words with their parents, and the gang has now broken up. I got a lot of detail, which I won't go into here, but it sounds as if they were also quite compassionate towards some of the kids, some of whom may not have had the easiest of lives.  I know that those kids had nothing to do with the attack of the man in August and that they are also aware of the fireworks problem. Sounds like good community policing.
