Recommending our Wonderful Nanny

Eva

Recommended Posts

Because of job changes, we are letting our

wonderful nanny of eight years go. She is

available from the beginning of June.

I could not recommend Mari more warmly. She has been

with us since our son was three and our daughter

not even one. The children love her: She is

vivacious, loving and great fun. We have been able

to trust her completely. She is flexible, totally

reliable and punctual and has not only looked

after the children, but also the house and us.

Before us, she worked with another local family

for ten years. She holds DBS, driving licence,

first aid and other relevant courses. Please PM me

to get in touch with her and for more information.

Hi Eva,

Thanks for your post, your nanny, Mari, sounds lovely. I?m based in Sydenham and am looking for a nanny to look after my 9 month old daughter for half a day once a week. Please could you pass this on to Mari to see if she would be interested? Feel free to ask any questions if you/she has any.

Many thanks,

Ella

    • Because of the weather which delayed completion with roofer only being able to work certain days, it was up from November - end of January. Went slightly higher than gutters (we also had guttering replaced).
    • It's tough being a courier and the pay which is largely based on the number they deliver is miserable. Hence the staff turnover is high. EFRI was previously branded as HERMES but they had to create a new brand name because of poor performance. We get regular courier deliveries and EVRI are by far the worst. They just drop the parcel at the front door - often without ringing the bell. But worst is when they deliver to the equivalent door number on LL instead of ours on EDG. Best are ParcelForce, DHL and DPD by a wide margin.
    • I know the couple you mean, and she has always been friendly and smiley when delivering to me, but obviously in a hurry, for all the reasons outlined in the thread. My gate is always open, however (unless someone coming to the house closes it when they leave). I can't see the point of gates that have to be opened and shut again every time someone comes to the house. It just seems a waste of time, and it's annoying if you are carrying stuff. And a closed gate  conveys a sort of "my house is my fortress" feel. To me, anyway.
    • Thanks for posting this. Really interesting. It would be good if you added a star rating, so that it was easier to do comparisons / see what your top recommendations are. Great blog though!
