Ruth_Baldock
For those of you who may be looking towards a repeat c-section, or considering you're options in a pregnancy following a surgical or traumtic birth, or having a c-section for the first time, this may be useful for you. It's my daughter's birth story, she was born via a RCS 8 month ago. She was a planned VBAC, but went very overdue. Have a read, if youse like. www.se5mum.co.uk Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/22689-repeat-c-sections-shameless-self-promotion-of-my-blog/ Share on other sites
akc74
Thanks - I did find this very helpful, as I am planning (99.9% sure) an elective CS this July, after 4 days of failed induction last time ending in an emergency CS. I am really hopeful that it'll go like yours did! Kes
Thanks for sharing that Ruth, it's so nice to read something positive about C-sections, like you I've come across people with some pretty odd attitudes to them including from medical professionals and I find it weird how different the approach is here compared with the US. I suspect neither country really has it right at the moment. I blogged about this recently myself here: Southwarkbelle sorry for the even cheekier adding of my own blog there but it seemed relevant so I hope you don't mind! Also well done for dealing so well with other peoples comments, I wish I'd been better at that after my emergency CS. If I ever decided to face it all again it's reassuring to read that it can go well. Grotty
I also had a repeat & elective CS after failed induction first time round - It was very similar to Ruth's experience - very calm, civilised, quick and felt much safer than the debacle that was birth of no.1.
