Yak
I must be doing something really thick as I'm increasingly finding it a struggle to make the harness fit round my 11 month old. He is very long, quite chunky & wears real nappies but surely he can't be outgrowing it already?!? I think I've got the straps on the longest setting but maybe I'm missing a trick. I do use a lambskin as well but that isn't too thick.Has anyone else experienced this? Nothing really helpful came up on google so I'm going straight to the experts... Ko
i have the same problem with my maclaren quest! its s struggle in winter when we have the buggy snuggle liner plus a thick coat on! sorry no solutions known by us. the straps on our bugaboo bee are much much longer. Belle
Yes have same prob here and for some reason the straps are totally impossible to adjust. I think i found it easier in summer without buggy snuggle/extra layers. In the past I've delegated this task (yanking the straps down a bit) to my husband... Sanne Panne
Is the crotch bit adjustable? I noticed that as the child grows the buckle just has to sit higher and higher up the tummy. If you haven't extended that bit yet, doing it will buy you another 5-10cm. (and I assume you do have the shoulder straps in the highest slot in the backrest already). snowboarder
Really? The straps on my quest are for a giant - 13m old barely restrained by them! Weird... sbain
We had the smae issue with our maclaren - the thing is I just can't adjust crotch strap (it looks as if it should be adjustable - so I might just be being incompetent). But if anyone knows the knack and could pass it on that would be great. Sanne Panne
Crotch strap adjustment was a ma-jor pain for us but we did do it (on Techno XT). Don't remember how I did it (it was before winter), do remember that when I wanted to tighten it a bit after taking the footmuff off I gave up after 20 minutes. Mrs TP
Try goggling these adjustments. People put all kinds of demos up on YouTube - we learnt how to collapse our pop up tent there and also how to adjust the straps on our toddler car seat. Carbonara
You can adjust them, but you have to do it from the back. Follow the straps through.
