Sally Eva
All types and conditions of bike welcomed. This is the place to bring the old bike covered in spiders which your children (or you) found at the back of the shed and feel it might be nice to try riding. It's a drop-in not a course. What you drop-in with decides what gets taught and the more decrepit it is the more everyone learns re-building it. Everything is free and open to all. The guys carry some (small) parts but it's probably best to bring parts yourself if you know or suspect they are needed. The sessions are the first and third Tuesday of every month from 6.30-8.30pm. The guys who run it are just-in-time guys so they won't be early. But they are super-reliable and will come. The venue is the Lettsom Tenants and Residents Hall at 114 Vestry Road SE5 8PQ. That's not an easy place to find so there is a picture here: https://southwarkcyclists.org.uk/events/free-bike-maintenance-with-hands-on-tuition-3/ and I would add words of encouragement because everyone who has found it has been very pleased. This is a joint venture between Southwark Cyclists and the Lettsom TRA. We are the borough branch of the London Cycling Campaign which does what it says on the tin.
