The mobile phone repairers situated on the left of Peckham Rye market are swapping out genuine Apple batteries from iPhones Es for inferior Sony replacements.

I would guess if you want a genuine Apple phone battery replaced the official Apples stores would be the only place ? And the exstorcent cost to go with it.

I suspect lots do this - but at least it doesn't make you persona non grata at the apple shop any more.

Good question - now if they are swapping good batteries when doing a screen repair we have an issue.

If they're replacing batteries with non Apple parts as part of a battery replacement it's exactly what I'd expect of a phone repair business that isn't the Apple shop.

I know someone who got their screen repaired a couple of weeks ago, now their battery life isn't what it used to be.
