Listing updated 8 July...

Large plants: ?1.75 (or 5 for ?7.50)

Small plants: ?1

Very small plants: 50p each

Large plants are at least 30cm in height (from base of plant to top of plant) with good root systems. Many already have flowers. Some are now producing tomatoes and have reached 70cm in height.

The small plants less than 30cm in height and will put on growth quickly once planted up.

All need to be planted into larger pots/buckets or into the ground as soon as possible as they've outgrown the pots they're currently in.

Available... a mix of unusual varieties you won't find in the shops and some reliable favourites.

1. Verna Orange | GONE

Large oxheart fruits. Dense, meaty, sweet in flavour.

2. Cernetu | GONE

I purchased the seed at a Seedy Sunday event from the Heritage Seed Library stand but can find no information about this variety! I daresay I bought it because it sounded interesting so I can't imagine it will be a disappointment.

3. Ailsa Craig | GONE

Vigorous, early-maturing, all purpose variety producing medium-sized fruit.

4. Green Zebra | GONE

Attractive lime green fruits. It?s ripe when the green striping turns yellow. Sharp & zingy flavour.

5. Sungold | GONE

Sweet cherry tomato. Thin-skinned, bite-bized, deep orange fruit.

6. Gardener's Delight | GONE

A reliable favourite.

COLLECTION

Forest Hill. Weekends and evenings preferred.

Please DM if of interest.

Thanks.

Shebe - I've replied & placed 5 large & 1 small plant aside for you. A mix of varieties.

Natty01295 - the prices are in the posting - large are ?1.75

Have updated my original listing. Now just 5 plants left plus a few little gardeners delight (STC). Thanks to those who have helped me clear some space!

Hi Natty01295,

I have 3 large plants available. One is Cernetu. One is Green Zebra. The other is unlabelled. Everything else is now gone.

They are 1.75 each or you can have all 3 for ?4.50.

I'm not around this week. However, if any plants are of interest you're willing to collect from my East Dulwich allotment on Sunday morning between 10 and 11 then PM me for the address.

I will respond to PMs but from now on won't be checking responses to this thread or arranging further sales - end of the tomato selling season for me!

Thanks for your interest.

    • Well I did say I stand to be corrected! Fair enough, their website only seemed to list three branches. Perhaps it's a franchise model?  It's known as 'agglomeration' in economics Rookie error.
    • I didn't know there was a word for that — thanks!
    • This is just normal business behaviour. That's why there are so many coffee shops in ED and shops selling gifts and interiors stuff, clothes, restaurants.  If there's more than one business of a similar type then it can benefit all of them up to a saturation point and keep up quality. It's all sounding like many think Chango has made a malicious move when it actually sounds like it's owned by one guy who has a good business that has done well.   Anyway this is all great advertising for both empanada places. Very close by is the organic grocer who sells really good value and very tasty samosas and other Indian snacks which are also worth trying.
