Adult student looking for GCSE Maths & English tutor

Recommended Posts

I?m a 20 something year old looking to go back to college to get my GCSE English and maths qualifications.

Classes are free as long as I pass an initial test that shows I?m able to get a passing grade.

I would like a tutor to prepare me for these tests between 1-2 hours per session once a week, or every two weeks depending on rates.

Hello there,

I'm a experienced young maths tutor studying mathematics at Bristol university. I've taught over 30 pupils (from GCSE to A-level) over the past two years, including several adults. My pupils come from a range of backgrounds and abilities. I'd be very happy to help you work towards your GCSE maths qualification.

A little about myself...at school I achieved 11 A*s at GCSE and 4 A* grades in Maths, Further Maths, Physics and Economics, and I was awarded the School Maths Prize in my final year. During this year I've averaged a high first class mark on my university degree.

Please get in touch if you'd like to discuss further! Felix at [email protected] or on 07943868355

    • I know people won’t have any sympathy but the SEND challenge was brought up when taxing parents who have opted for independent school to meet a child’s SEND needs. Funding crisis is getting worse and the VAT on Education pushed children out of independent schools, now their SEND needs are to be met by the state.
    • I completely agree with you - and last night was really terrible where I am. Between midnight and 1am was the worst, where it genuinely felt like a war zone. I had to run out of my house to try and stop a grown man setting them off in open space right by our front doors. In response he went to throw a half lit one at me and then seemed to think better of it. I am so sad at how bad the situation has got here and how selfish people are. Fireworks are bad for the environment and for pets and wildlife, as well as just being unnecessary noise for people too. I have sent an email today to Helen Hayes, which I have done previously on this issue. Would advise anyone to write to your MP to do the same, and to ask them to engage with the debates scheduled for 19 Jan.
    • And they started long before midnight!
    • First mate - I wondered if I was imagining things at 4.45 this morning . Apparently not .
