Lena2907
Hi, what?s everyone?s experience with remortgage valuations recently? Just wondering if your property went up in value or maybe down because of Brexit etc? Of course not to be nosy, just curious as ours is coming up and it would be interesting to know how the valuers think the market is doing in Dulwich. Abe_froeman
6 months ago, ours was massively out of kilter with what seems to be going on in the estate agents. It had tracked Zoopla plus about 8% extra... SpringTime
Did this 2 months ago - was surprised to see the surveyor value as high as he/she did. I wouldn't pay too much attention to Zoopla tbh as there are some wildly inaccurate figures amongst the sensible ones. It's too easy for punters to doctor the Zoopla estimates anyway, and the estimate always appear to be out of date. Prices have come down in part due to Brexit which is probably a good thing if you're thinking long term, but if you're keen to know then get three agents round to value (real visits not desktop valuations) and don't choose the usual suspects as some will be too optimistic even if you're clear with them you'er not selling. They shouldn't mind doing the ground work for free given you will probably sell some day. Angelina
A higher valuation at remortgage means you can increase your debt but it doesn't mean it's reflective of the actual sale price.
