The Road works at the junction of Whateley Road C.P. Road. seem to be going on and on

This is causing a lot of disruption to traffic and pedestrians.

Also having 2 Bus stops closed. P13.

I spoke to one of the workmen there at midday. He told be it will be closed for another 1 - 2 weeks.

and then they will be closing the other side if Crystal Palace road to work on the pavements there.

So more disruption.

Why do Conways take so long with any works they are awarded. I remember them doing Pavements on Lordship Lane.

I am convinced if they were issued with a fine ?5,000 - ?10,000 per day over schedule, this work would be

completed in less than half the time they are taking.

Foxy, the signs on lamposts around the CPR/Whateley Road works clearly say the period 22/07/19 to 16/08/19 is when the works will be carried-out.

While there may be an argument for complaining about the works taking too long at some stage, I think complaining they?re not finished two weeks before their own advertised completion date may be slightly premature.

They are working part of weekends from what I?ve seen, so one could assume there?s actually some urgency in their efforts.

    • Can you explain what your point was, then? Because it isn't clear to me. No. Perhaps you could provide a link and explain its relevance? That would be helpful
    • Anyone can deliver for Evri - my daughter having just passed her driving test tried Evri to make some money - they basically give you a route and as many parcels as they think you can cope with - you make money for each one you deliver, so you can imagine - speed is the priority. Why would they wait for you to answer the door when they can just throw it and take a photo? If you have a choice, choose a different courier service or shop elsewhere where they do.
    • Boil - it’s the customer’s fault, not the delivery person’s.
    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
