I just read the rules on the business section. We are based in ED so I'm guessing he sent too many responses to people requesting gardeners/handymen etc and that was why his account and posts were deleted.

How can he respond without breaking the rules? Does it have to be by PM only?

Is he allowed to have his own thread and update it with his availability? Or can he only post once on his own thread with his details etc? There seem to be quite a few tradesmen with long threads, so I'm not sure how that works.

Also, I think I've started this in the wrong room, so pls move if I have.

Thanks

Amanda

    • Would this not be a complaint better aimed at the council? Isn't it an anti social behaviour issue?  I think of myself as pretty live-and-let-live and feel like a miserable cow for saying this, but I do think I might complain. Personally I love the sound of fireworks but our dog is under the table, shaking like a leaf night after night and collapses in the street when he hears the noise.  I'm worried his heart'll give out.
    • The lower / no bang noise fireworks sound great.    Is there anywhere local selling those?
    • This petition to reduce the noise of fireworks is currently going through Parliament https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/738192
    • Have you complained to the solicitor directly and did they respond within the 8 weeks they have under their code of conduct - I presume they have and this is why you have escalated further to the SRA? If he doesn't respond in a timely fashion per the SRA code of conduct then I am sure they will need to take action.
