Sue
If Planet Organic (or a branch of it) is the large shop on the left hand side of the road that runs uphill from Camden station, then I have found it very expensive compared to other shops selling similar products. If not, then I apologise! monica
The ED branch of ANI are closing down in September, due to planet Organic taking over the ANI franchise. the staff were telling customers today. The staff were told the ED branch may close down, its to small for a Planet organic store.ANI were in a lot of debt when they opened up in ED. ANI were owned by Icelands foods. Sue
Crikey, it seems like they've only just opened! Why would they have opened a new store if they were in a lot of debt? ianr
So the staff have been told that the branch "may close down" and are telling customers that they "are closing down"? Is that reading correct? I just want to understand the source of the disparity. monica
Hi Ianr, they are closing down. The disparity comes from ANI, directly. Initially it was thought Planet Organic were going to keep the the ED store open, however its now confirmed they are closing the store. monica
Chains do this all the time, in order to complete the deal with planet organic, they opened a seventh store, ED. However due to the location and size of the store, the costs of running the store, planet organic have closed it down. The owner wants ?70,0000 per annum. Clearly I know nothing about the retail business :)) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/234714-as-nature-intended-opening-in-september/page/2/#findComment-1435184 Share on other sites
