oimissus Posted May 15, 2012 Share Posted May 15, 2012 I would have thought that any ballet class would be mixed by default (I would be shocked if any purported to be girls only), do you think he'll feel self-conscious if he's the only boy? How old is he - thinking about it I suppose at later stages the steps would be different so they would be separate? But if he's a toddler I would hope he could attend any class he liked. Cora Posted May 15, 2012 Author Share Posted May 15, 2012 He already does a mixed class at school (he is one of two boys in the class) and really enjoys it. I thought I would see if there was a boys only class that was a bit more focused/serious to complement the one he is doing. I think there are a lot of boys who would give it a go but are put off by all the pink. I once heard on the radio about a boys only class set up in Cornwall which was hugely popular - they geared it more towards the boys (ie not accidentally alluding to being princesses and fairies all the time!)
