Recommendation for builder - London Remodelling

Hi

We have just had an extensive flat refurbishment carried out and I would highly recommend our builder Alex who's company is www.londonremodelling.co.uk.

Alex and his team completely refurbished our flat including; Structural works - chimney removal, window opening enlargement, extensive floor joist replacement, ceiling replacement, roof strengthening. Architectural works ? new toilet, kitchen, new electrics, new gas and plumbing, new gutters, plastering and painting etc.

During the works Alex uncovered a unstable floor and we ended up having to replace most of the floor joists in a section which was quite complex. Alex?s team worked through the weekend to minimise disruption and only added one week to the programme which was exceptional considering the increased scope of works.

The quality of workmanship is very good. I added extras in as the works progressed and they were priced very fairly and the work carried out efficiently. They closed out all snags immediately, were tidy during the works and minimised disruption to the neighbours. I would not normally post but I know how difficult it can be to find a good builder.

    • Why have I got a feeling there was also a connection with the beehive in Brixton on that road next to the gym
    • Ah, thanks,  it all comes flooding back. I've actually been to the Hastings shop, I'd forgotten all about it, along with her name! Didn't she (in between?)  take over what  was then The Magnolia, previously The Magdala, now The Lordship, with her then partner? Or is that some figment of my imagination?  In fact, didn't they transform it from The Magdala (much missed) to The Magnolia? With flowery wallpaper covering the front of the bar? Which reminds me of the pub's brief period after The Magnolia  as the ill-conceived and ill-fated The Patch.
    • Looking for crate/toys/play pen etc. Ideally will buy in a bundle. Can collect!
    • A belated recommendation for Iain and Paul od Oddbods who came to help me with various jobs before Christmas.  Painting ceiling, renewing silicone around bath, repairing a window sill which was almost beyond repair and hanging a large mirror.   Very happy with their work and they are friendly and very reliable and excellent at communicating.  No hesitation in recommending them.
