Garden shredder loan for OAPs

My neigbour and I are clearing a jungle area for a vulnerable 80+ couple, housing association tenants in a first floor conversion who're responsible for the back half of the garden. We've cut back masses of overgrowth and are going to lay down the large woody stems to make a bug hotel, but have a mountain of smaller green waste which we'd like to chip and spread in an attempt to keep down new growth. We'll also be making regular visits to maintain once we've got it all under control! For the moment, though, we need an alternative to chopping every twig by hand or we'll be doing it beyond Christmas.

If you have a garden shredder we can borrow (or buy, if it's not too expensive) that will take growth of up to around 40mm diameter, and deal with the fleshy leaves of a fig, we'd be grateful to hear from you.

Thanks for reading.

    • At the time of posting previously, we had no idea of the dates we would be having the children. The maths place - you pay for a course of lessons . The coding session would be good but you need to book well in advance. Also grandson has been doing coding since 6 years old. He now has a 'mentoring role' at his primary school as his knowledge of this subject is years above his chronological age. Dates are still up in the air as their father is trying to juggle leave from a new job in the north of the country.
    • why not have a pasty shop - we could have Cornish pasties, Jamaican patties, empanadas from all the different regions.... I like all three.  I'm still going to support the Chacarero family business, as I don't support chains, just as I don't buy anything from Gail's, Nero, Starbucks etc.
    • Thought it had been a fish and chip shop at one time?
    • Try Gentrification, those with more money than sense who constantly want something different, when pie and mash isn't good enough for them.  "Argentinian Cornish pasties" give3 me a proper Cornish pastie any day of the week, at least I'd be supporting something traditionally British.   ps. tin hat at the ready........................🤣
