Hi all!

Peckham Foodcycle is looking for a kind volunteer to help with our weekly collection of food.

We are a charity who take surplus food and turn it into a fantastic, nutritious 3-course meal for anyone who would like to join us.

We have arrangements in place to collect surplus food from one or two places [eg supermarkets] and are looking for someone to collect and take it to our venue, All Saints Church in Peckham once, occasionally twice a week.

If you are interested in having a chat about it, or even helping us out, please pm me and I will pass on the details of our local Foodcycle leader.

SO appreciated!

Thank you.

Jacqui.

Thanks Jenny!

I agree, they are very good sites. We have been lucky enough to have regular arrangements with M+S and Sainsbury's for our Weds and Sat sessions, plus local Peckham shops and Rana's Bakery are very generous also.

We point people in the direction of any surplus food as we know how much food poverty there is locally.

There are a lot of people around us who don't get a nutritious meal very often and we could all do well by looking out for them.

Any reflections are most welcome.

It wasn't on a parade of shops but was on maybe Whateley Rd – or possibly Goodrich?? I used to walk past it when heading home from work and would drop in for a cheap bottle of Hungarian plonk. Someone tell me I'm not dreaming this... 🙂
