Hello,

I'm taking my 6 month old to Bristol on the train and will be taking a taxi to paddington. I'm taking a folding maclaren buggy rather than her bugaboo so won't be able to use our carseat in the taxi. Does anyone know if any of the local minicab firms supply infant car seats? I know Addison Lee and the Keen Group don't...

Thanks

Mrs G

Sorry it's a big thumbs down for dulwich cars. First time we asked for a car seat, driver pitched up without one and we had to use ours otherwise we'd be late for flight (driver then had to return our car seat later). Second time we used them, driver forgot where he put his car at heathrow so we(plus 4 month old) had to wait an hour before he found his car. Third time we used them, the driver turned up at heathrow without car seat fitted and asked me to fit it even though I've never used that type of car seat, had no instructions how to fit. Driver was also clueless so he had to call the office and got instructions over the phone - all after a long haul flight. Fun times.

    • So what is the issue? You want compensation for the loss of value, or you want to expedite the matter?
    • No. What happened? I actually thought, considering it was what we used to call Guy Fawkes Day last night, the loud noises from  fireworks ended remarkably early. About 9pm? Maybe I just fell asleep and didn't hear any later ones. Do people actually burn Guys any more? Apart from at places like Lewes, where I believe they still have Bonfire Societies and burn effigies of various political figures etc.
    • The accompaniment to our "Christmas Pudding" aka Nothing-Whatever-Like-A- Christmas-Pudding last year  at The Cherry Tree was "brandy butter ice-cream." If it had ever been near any brandy, the brandy must have been waved in its direction from a very great distance. Same with butter. The ice cream tasted like bog standard "vanilla" from a catering tub. At least it did bear some resemblance to ice cream. Whereas the "Christmas Pudding" bore no resemblance whatever to any Christmas Pudding I have ever seen or tasted in my many  decades of seeing and tasting Christmas Puddings. Oh, and Cinzano Bianco. Bleurgh. My sister used to drink that. 🤢
