Sewing / knitting alterations

Hello,

Can anyone recommend a local business where I can get some clothes mended? Specifically it?s a zip that needs replacing on a hooded top, the wool in my fingerless mittens has come undone around the thumbs, and I need some stitching to the seem of a top which I am reluctant to throw out. All pretty basic stuff, I just can?t use a sewing machine (not that I own one!) I can visit a shop up in town, I just thought it would good to support a local business or entrepreneur in the area. I think the dry cleaners on the road to East Dulwich station does repairs.

They used to have a sewing machine in the window and maybe still have (unless I'm mixing them up with another dry cleaners, but I don't think so).

ETA: Or you could ask in Really Maria, the fabric/haberdashery shop near Goose Green roundabout?
