I am looking to get a 4D scan but don't want to pay ?100+ for it.

Does anyone know of any offers or deals on? I am only 16 weeks currently so can't have one for a month or two anyway, but would love to hear if you know of any deals...also would you recommend a 4D scan if you had one?

My first pregnancy...(tu)

In both my pregnancies, we've had an early gender scan (because my 20 week scan has been scheduled at more like 24 weeks, and patience isn't my strong point!) with Babybond in Crystal Palace - ?79 and it's mostly just the normal type, but they do switch it to 4D at the end and give you one 4D piccie to take with you. I was only 18 weeks both times, so wasn't expecting much, but my son's pic was really very clear and you could absolutely tell that he was going to look like his daddy. Second time around we're having a girl and she had the cord in front of her face, plus her hands up, so wasn't playing ball at all - the sonographer did her best, but the pic isn't very clear at all so doesn't tell us much.

Would I recommend it? It was certainly nice to have as a by-product of something we were planning to do anyway, and my son's pic is a cute memento, but I don't think it's something I would ever pay extra for... but that's just me...

We had one, I really enjoyed it as it was about 27 weeks so in the long long gap between 20wk scan and birth. Baby came out looking just like her picture! We got a special offer at the baby show with baby bond. I see offers for it on groupon occasionally so may be worth looking/joining up to that?

we had a 4d scan for both our girls, its a great thing to have done and its amazing the detail you can see. In my first pregnancy i was around 6 months pregnant and my last one was later on around 33 weeks (cut off point) as i had chicken pox and had to cancel and make a later appointment. We had ours done with babybond in harley street but it cost over ?100 but you do get a dvd and also photos to take away with you

The woman, Gill, that did scans for me at Apeekaboo is really nice. It is at a business park in Erith, but not too difficult to get to if you have a car. It was one of the cheapest places when I was looking for a viability scan (couldn't wait 12 weeks to let everybody know I was pregnant :) )

    • You are right . It isn't going to change him for the better. Sending such a negative message is potentially counter-productive. Trump is narcissistic, arrogant, unpredictable, spiteful, divisive, and dishonest, with a penchant for a total a disregard for democratic norms.  He is one who bears a grudge so there's a case to be made for not offending him as he could react with a bunch of  adverse actions  such as  deciding to increase import tariffs on UK exports to the US.

    • In 2016 London City Airport began using concentrated flight paths. When there's a predominantly westerly wind, incoming aircraft approach from East London (north of the River). When there's a predominantly Easterly wind, incoming aircraft approach the airport from the West: circling through Forest Hill, Dulwich, Vauxhall, Tower Hamlets, Docklands. This latter flight path affects many of us in South East London. https://www.london.gov.uk/who-we-are/what-london-assembly-does/questions-mayor/find-an-answer/london-city-airport-concentrated-flight-paths The planes going into City are often below 2,000 ft, so very noisy. Sometimes we have incoming Heathrow at the same time, flying higher. The early flights that I hear e.g. 04:30 are incoming to Heathrow. They are scheduled to land at 05:30 but are 'early'. Apparently the government allows a percentage of flights to arrive early and late (but these are now established as regular occurrences, informally part of the schedule). IMHO Londoners are getting very poor political representation on this issue. Incredible that if you want to complain about aircraft noise, you're supposed to contact the airport concerned! Preposterous and designed solely in favour of aviation expansion.
    • Yet another recommendation for Jafar. Such a nice guy, really reliable and fair. He fixed a problem with our boiler and then incredibly kindly made two more visits to replace a different part at no extra cost.
