Le_37
Hello all. As some of you may know there will be a rare opportunity to see Venus in front of the sun early this Tues during sunrise. I was thinking of viewing from Dawson Heights, if no overcast!!! Do people know of any other decent vantage points locally? Many thanks and enjoy the Jubilee all!Oh, just to add and make clear, this is to see the sun from sunrise, so from the East at a low point in the sky. DulwichFox
NEVER look directly at The Sun... The Setting Sun is generaly dimmer than the Rising Sun due to dust and water vapour raised by the heat of The Sun during the day. The Air is 'Cleaner' in the morning so The Sun is very Bright at Sunrise. Many of you would be aware of this if trying to drive when The Sun is low in the sky. To see the transit of Venus across The Sun safely , you need specialist Telescopic/Photographic Equipment. Just take great care. The damage to your eyesight could be permenant Fox Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23769-venus-transist-tues/#findComment-549644 Share on other sites
