STILL AVAILABLE! Late Victorian school cupboard for sale -- ?280

Sadly we no longer have the space for this late Victorian school cupboard in our house. It is a really solid, well-made piece of furniture with brass locks (sadly no key).

It has three shelves, two of which are adjustable, and four brass hooks inside.

The brass lock has the name J E Bates on - research shows he was a lock maker from Wolverhampton. Nice bit of history there!

The cupboard measures h: 188cm w: 95cm depth: 49.5cm

I used it as a linen cupboard for sheets, towels etc for years, but you could use it as a larder, or for books, or kids' art materials etc. I am really sad to part with it but it just won't fit in our new room arrangement.

Collection from Honor Oak Park. Or, I can sort you out a man with a van if needs be to deliver.

Cash on collection please. Thanks, Liz

    • Anyone can deliver for Evri - my daughter having just passed her driving test tried Evri to make some money - they basically give you a route and as many parcels as they think you can cope with - you make money for each one you deliver, so you can imagine - speed is the priority. Why would they wait for you to answer the door when they can just throw it and take a photo? If you have a choice, choose a different courier service or shop elsewhere where they do.
    • Boil - it’s the customer’s fault, not the delivery person’s.
    • A bit of a long shot but I'm on the lookout for a portable pop-up counter or podium.   The kind you often see on a high street, used by charities or utility companies to advertise their wares.   I've included a photo to give you the idea. I'm a peckham-based artist and am looking for one for a free (and non-profit) community art project.  It can be in any workable condition and can already have signage on it as we will remove and redecorate ourselves.    Thanks in advance, Linzie
    • No I absolutely did not - that much is clear. Have you read the latest stories about Unite, Len and the hotel in Birmingham? The UK electorate were smart enough to reject a far-left party in 2019, let's hope they are smart enough to reject a far-right party at the next election too. If not we are all doomed.
