supergolden88
I have noticed a noticeable 'lump' for lack of better word on back of 19m old son's head. It's really hard to say whether it was always there or brand new - perhaps it was but not as noticeable. He hasn't bumped his head there recently. It is in the middle just a bit down from the crown. I am worried now. Anyone have experienced anything similar? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23989-lumpy-head/ Share on other sites
jennyh
Ish, when my daughter was around 4 months she seemingly work up with two lumps on her skull, at the bottom of her head where it meets her neck, soft and fleshy. I thought perhaps glands but rushed her off to a&e in a panic. They said they didn't know what they were but shouldn't be anything serious, referred me back to the GP. When I went to the GP she said it shouldn't be anything sinister but she could be referred for a scan if they changed. Her opinion was that they were just part of the shape of her head...and they've not changed in nearly a year so I guess that they are...Def go to the doctor just for peace of mind, try not to worry. supergolden88
hmm his is hard, not soft. Feels like a bump when you hit your head. I sort of have something similar but not as pronounced. He was examined very early on because his fontanelle was almost non-existant but the doctor then said she did not think it was anything to worry about and that his head was growing ok (but he was very young probably around 4m and has not been checked since). I wonder if that has anything to do with it. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23989-lumpy-head/#findComment-553172 Share on other sites

jennyh
Hmmm, my limited knowledge/experience ends there I'm afraiid. Maybe just pop along to the doc for reassurance and actual medical help! :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/23989-lumpy-head/#findComment-553219 Share on other sites
