Hi Rosie and Gerry, I have a one double bedroom flat on the 1st floor for rent in Altima Court on East Dulwich Road. Fantastic location across the road from the Leisure Centre and Goose Green. The flat faces onto the internal courtyard so is very quiet and it also comes with a secure parking place behind locked gates. The flat has floor to ceiling windows and is very light. Kitchen with integrated Bosch fridge/freezer, cooker, dishwasher, washing machine. The bathroom has a large shower. The rent is ?1300 per month which includes water rates, but not electricity or Council Tax. It is actually available from 4 November. If interested, please phone me on 020 7733 7306 so we can discuss options. Eve

    • Thanks very much for that.   I think the better informed we are, the better our discussions will be. The article contained: "That arrest had quite an impact on the [phone theft] numbers for the following month,” said Green.  Here's another indicator, admittedly a piece of police PR,  of how well-targeted police efforts, mostly invisible to us,  can when successful  seriously affect offending figures: https://news.met.police.uk/news/met-police-drive-down-theft-and-robbery-by-84-percent-in-battersea-and-nine-elms-500495.
    • Another excellent article from Jim Waterson's London Centric reporting https://www.londoncentric.media/p/kitchen-foil-and-algerian-markets?utm_source=substack&utm_medium=email Interesting that there seem to be favoured and repeated routes for phone snatching for particular thieves.  Seems ED might be one of them ☹️
    • Anywhere near the Overground/Windrush due to its excellent transport links.  You will get larger place in SE23 for example that will give you enough spare cash for private school if that's what you really want but states schools generally good, reflecting the demographic  Easy to get to the bustling streets of East Dulwich but in ten years see what happens to Forest Hill centre.  The whole of the area is full of green spaces. Access to East Croydon for days out in the South Coast
