pebbles
My son has outgrown his mini micro scooter so for his birthday we are wanting to buy the next stage up. From research there are 2 I think:Maxi Micro - goes up to 12 and basically looks the same as the mini but is biggerMicro Sprite - aluminium and only has 2 wheelsCan anyone let me know which one i should go with?I think I'm leaning toward the micro sprite as it goes to adult whereas the maxi micro says up to 12. The things that turning me off the sprite is that as it's got 2 wheels it doesn't stand up by itself which could be quite annoying in the hallway or something?Anyway, any views muchly appreciated.ThanksEdited to say - he is a bike rider as well so unsure as to whether he'll be using the scooter much into the teens anyway??? pebbles
Thanks Fuchsia - interesting that he thinks it's a bit babyish - do you think he'd continue scooting if he had a more "manly" scooter :)I'm afraid I'm not going to sell it - odd as it may seem but i'm going to put it up in the attic for Grandkids!!!! my mother and also my in laws kept EVERYTHING and I appreciate it so much so I think while we still have attic space it would be nice to keep things that will hopefully come in useful in the future :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24165-maxi-micro-vs-micro-sprite/#findComment-555682 Share on other sites
Fuschia
AwwThat's sweetChild no 1 has never been a great scooter... He loves his bike thoughI do think that a secondary aged boy wouldn't want a three wheeler though Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24165-maxi-micro-vs-micro-sprite/#findComment-555683 Share on other sites
Polmoche
I'd get the two wheeler. I think they have kickstands now on them. We have both the sprite and the maxi. The maxi seems a bit more flimsy than the sprite--which is all metal. Kids quickly get the hang of the two wheeler. I personally think its better for their balance. Three wheelers for 8 year olds is pretty babyish (according to mine who won't be seen on it near school!)
