I am a private tutor with more than 25 years of languages, literature and humanities teaching in public and private schools in the UK and abroad. I also collaborate with the Special Education Needs Department In Bromley Council and the NHS, teaching foreign languages to SEN children and young adults.

I'm hugely successful in motivating students and coping with their individual needs and expectations. I ensure excellent academic achievement, as well as exceptional performance in my adult courses.

My methods are proven to achieve excellent and fast results, and my lessons are considered fun and inspiring.

My Master Degree is in Modern Languages and Literature and I also have a Post-graduation in Education Sciences and a Dipl?me Sup?rieure de Langue et Litt?rature Fran?aise.

I am thus able to provide tutoring in English and English Literature, French, Spanish, Portuguese, as well as in Sociology and Psychology on all levels.

My one-to-one and small group sessions also include preparation for exams (GSCE, A levels, University and Language Certification), as well as teaching adults for professional and cultural purposes.

Here is some feedback from my students and parents:

I teach at home, in Forest Hill and online, via Skype. Please contact me if you are interested and share this message with your contacts.

Hello!

I'm looking for an English teacher as a foreign language for one of my students. He is 11 years old, speaks Russian (native) and intermediate English. He needs regular online tuition over the next 6 months. Would this be of interest? What is your hourly rate?

Kind regards,

Andrei

    • Yes, that compromise is in not extending the event to two weekends, and keeping it to the one currently.  Yes, I am getting that too, but just go anyway. I intend to.  I will talk to FOPR, and see if there is any interest for a petition from those going to the consultation tm. We just need some volunteers to get together and do the leg work. I've done political party canvassing before, and so can organise a ward by ward schedule. I think it's fair to say that any goodwill some of us had towards working with Gala has gone with this proposed expansion. They are not the same people that started the event with We Are the Fair. At least one of those people actually lived next to the park. The people running things now have no connection to the park or local area and quite frankly are taking the p*** now. Might be worth officially demanding to know where the money the council gets from the festival is actually spent as well.
    • It's a fantastic little place
    • Sadly we need young people from developing countries with higher birth rates to do the work that Brits wont do, including many jobs in health and social care.  How you square this with minimum wages to get work visas I don't know.  A different subject for another thread.   Shortage of skilled workers is another topic.  We could return to the fact that young people from Europe no longer come to the UK for a limited time, to do both skilled and unskilled jobs, but that would bring us back to Brexit and the crazy decision we made as a nation. Some nice analysis by Sky News, tend not to use them as a rule but was surprised by the quality of this piece: https://news.sky.com/story/how-many-illegal-migrants-are-in-britain-the-key-numbers-driving-the-immigration-debate-13428405
    • Would be good if they turned it into something that is social/community driven for housing - old and young mix together. Let’s face it, dearth of social anything relating to housing… if that.could  be combined with say, work area and gardening and cafe for all, everyone wins.. Dream on.. yea… certainly don’t need more large supermarkets, kitchen stores, Argos etc… Haven’t had time to look at plans…
