Car insurance

I realise everybody's situation is different so different insurers will be better value in different cases.

However I just did a comparison and on the basis of price (like for like) was going to go with the RAC, but on googling they seem to have terrible reviews - as of course do many other insurers.

Just wondered whether anybody reading this has had either good or bad experiences with them - for insurance, not rescue.

The only reason I stayed with my old insurer for so long, even though more expensive, was because when I needed to claim when my car was stolen I had really excellent service.
