Needlefoot are looking for volunteers to help on one or more performance days with their piece ?Best in Show?.

Needlefoot is co-directed by Deborah Galloway and Emma McFarland, it creates site-specific projects inspired by the history, myth, culture and architecture of unusual locations, which combine dance and other art forms

Needlefoot presents Best in Show a free pop-up dance performance

?Welcome to the local dog show where the dogs dance and dream of the ?howl of fame?, the owners parade their neuroses and the Judge wins Prettiest Paws! Best in Show is a fun and entertaining dance show inspired by the frantic world of the local dog show and its comical mix of characters, four-legged and two.

Best in Show is a free event and is suitable for family and friends of all ages.

Free children?s dance workshop: Stay after the show for your chance to dance with the Crazy Disco Dog!?

Performance Dates

SOUTHWARK Sat 14 July 2.30pm

Picnic Area & Arboretum, Peckham Rye Park, Strakers Lane, SE15

Volunteer duties include

? Running and assisting duties during the day

? Help pack up and clear the performance space.

? Stewarding

? Leafleting

? Directing crowd through park to performance space

? Voxpops

? Getting evaluation material from audience

? One volunteer nominated as lost child contact (needs to be CRB checked)

Desirable

? First aiders are preferential but not essential

Please let us know if you have current CRB or First Aid Certificate

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

This a un-paid position and volunteers would be required to arrive on site at 10am on performance days for a briefing with Emma McFarland, Needlefoot Co-Director.
