Hello everyone

Please complete the survey

http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/WX5TH35

I?m hoping to find out if a new business offering Scandinavian design products for babies and toddlers in Crystal Palace might be a success. You do not have to live in Crystal Palace to answer.

The idea is to supply lovely colourful Scandinavian brands of clothing and toys. Scandinavian design is very popular the world over and offers an alternative to pink and blue kids clothes.

It's a new idea so we've designed a short - only 10 questions - survey to help us get an idea of whether the business might work or not.

We would greatly appreciate your help and all information entered is anonymous and your details won?t be shared with anyone.

Many thanks for your time!

Annette

Not meaning to be rude, but how is it a new idea?

Have seen a great kids' clothing shop selling Danish and other Skandi designs disappear from East Dulwich Road for want of custom (much to my chagrin, it was a great place to get gifts for the nieces et al). Actually, am I going mad, is there a place on Melbourne Grove?

Are you going to be selling anything unique to you? New designers?

I like Scandinavian design, but wouldn't travel to Crystal Palace for it - if you have a unique offering though, I'd certainly check you out online.

I do love nice kids clothes

But i'd be wary of any venture in the CP area. We hardly ever shop there now, as the parking and traffic are so bad. We and many parents I know avoid the place. It also doesn't feel that child friendly

And the thing about shops is; location, location, location

Do you have extensive retail experience ?

Good luck though in whatever you do

    • Maybe if you indicated what you were reviewing, pub, gastro pub, high-end gourmet, local Italian etc. - whatever classifications you wanted, then you need only indicate that your stars referred to overall quality in that category. So it it's pub grub then 5 stars means it's great pub grub, but not the same experience as 5 stars in a high end gourmet category. Your star system could then include implicitly value for money as well.
    • Does OP know they can sell everything but alcohol even without a license?😄
    • Thanks, it's a real dilemma whether to do star ratings. A few people have asked me to do them but I've tried to resist as they are too reductive - people will look at them and won't read review! and they are difficult too - my last review of Victoria Inn, i'd give it five stars for value for money - how can you knock two courses for £18? – but 2 stars for quality - edible but nothing special. Which I guess is why some sites give star ratings for different things...
    • ok - Jeremy himself is against mandatory vaccines. Is he as extreme as his brother? No? Is it fair to discuss how the overall view of that family would inform Jeremy's response to the pandemic? I would argue very much so
