Just a quick recommendation for a great new restaurant down the road in Nunhead - 28 Well Hung.


We had a lovely meal there this week - super friendly and efficient service - the owners seem terrific.


The steak and all the chips/sides were delicious and we will certainly be returning.


A great new addition to the neighbourhood that deserves to do well!

Seconded! My partner and I ate there last night. 28 Well Hung offers tapas-style portions of superb meat and veggie dishes. We shared a bavette, an onglet and a tri-tip with celeriac steak, the mushroom dish and a portion of chips. Each dish was excellent. The service was second to none. I really can?t recommend it too highly. We?ll be back for Sunday lunch soon.

      Hello! We are relocating abroad and so will be withdrawing our two children (ages 4 and 6) from St Dunstan’s College (Catford). If any family is considering enrolling children of a similar age, now would be an excellent opportunity—we’re required to pay full‑term fees unless the places are taken.       Thanks for your reply. I’ve subscribed to Ancestry a few times in the past but felt I wasn’t using it enough to warrant keeping up the subscription.

      Does anyone remember an incident from the late 90s/early 00s in which a young man fell to death from Dawsons Heights?

      Hi, I saw your post and just wanted to say that the incident you’re referring to did happen in the late 1980s at Dawson’s Heights. The person involved was named Carl Salawa, and he had just turned 18 years old at the time. Like you, I haven’t been able to find any news articles or official reports about it, If anyone remembers anything more about that time or incident, I’d really appreciate hearing about it. Thanks for sharing what you were told—it means a lot to know others remember.
