Cast Iron Victorian book press 10" x 14 3/4" platten

The largest and heaviest size of victorian letterpress made which doubles as a book press.

Branded with a lion over the initial D and inscription "Quality C" (presumably C standing for Casting).

It has 3" of daylight and a shallow square cut thread for maximum pressure.

The handle is terminated with solid brass spheres for spinning momentum and grip.

A fine but heavy-duty press for bookbinding or relief printing.
