Transporting cakes or cupcakes

Have signed up to bring cake to daughter's end of year class pic nic. Love to bake so I thought I would make cupcakes (easier to eat at a pic nic) but now am wondering how on earth I can transport 30+ cupcakes without smooshing them.

Any ideas? Should I just give up and buy some traybakes at Sainsbury's? Don't want to make anything more sensible as I signed on for cake and my daughter mentions it hourly

I've got a special cupcake carrier (takes 24) if you want to borrow...

Also have a cupcake maker (weird random buy of my OH's that takes three mins per dozen apparently).

use old cereal boxes laid down, cut a flap in the front panel and you can safely keep a layer. Add boxes ontop, and if you stack them carefully they will not squash caked in box below

There's currently a 24 caupcake carrier box at Asda for ?6.00! I'm ordering mine now.

Alternatively there is a new Sugarcraft shop at the top of lordship lane where you can buy cake boxes...they are up near the vets & the bath store.
