NOW FOUND!! CAT - white with ginger and black calico/tortoise shell markings

Recommended Posts

Our beloved little cat went out very early Saturday morning (4th January) and it is very very out of character for her to be gone for more than a few hours at a time.

Her name is Naja, she's a calico/tortoise mainly white with black and ginger markings, and quite small. She's normally very sprightly and friendly. She can be very curious and can squeeze into surprisingly small corners/spaces.

PLEASE could those in the area have a look in your gardens, in sheds, bin stores, bike storage, garages, anywhere. If she's hurt she could be hiding, or have been accidentally locked in somewhere or become stuck somewhere.

PLEASE get in touch if you think you've seen her, we're so so worried about her.

We're on East Dulwich Road between Fenwick Road and Gowlett Road on the opposite side to the Tesco. Her playground tends to be the gardens that all face each other from Fenwick Road, Gowlett Road, Amott Road and East Dulwich Road.

If you see her please can you contact us on 07988895170 or 07812540777 and help us spread the social media word via our instagrams @viclovessweets @penguinwhiskers @najanutmeg

UPDATE - it's now a week since Naja went missing and she still has not returned home.

We really do now think that she's locked in somewhere or has become trapped - PLEASE PLEASE GO LOOK AGAIN in your gardens/sheds/storage/garages/cars/vans/scaffolding - she is small and curious and could definitely have snuck in somewhere quickly without you realising! She needs water and food, it's so important that she's found.

There's been lots of response about people seeing a very similar looking cat down by Fenwick/Amott Rd - we've met this cat ourselves, she's called Nora and wears a collar with a gold star on it. The main difference is that NAJA has more white fur especially her shoulders and her ginger and black colours are more block colourings. Whereas Nora is white with more blended black/ginger colouring. Thank you to everyone who has responded though!

We're so so worried about her and miss her terribly.

We're also offering a reward if someone finds her!

If you can please take a photo if you spot her and please do get in touch.

Hi Luisa,

Thanks for your message and so kind you're keeping a look out for her.

Yes we managed to go in to the factory on Monday and have a look around but a couple of the units were locked up unfortunately and no sign of her in there.

Best wishes

Vicky

We found Naja this morning hiding out behind the Tesco on East Dulwich Road!

We had lots and lots calls and texts from locals who thought they'd seen her or were just concerned so a massive thank you to everyone who took the time to look for Naja, took photos, got in touch with possible sitings. The support and interest from everyone in the area has been really overwhelming, so thank you again.

I sincerely hope similar is available still because for many elderly their pet is their main source of comfort and company.
    • In a couple of places locally, I have come across this. I am fairly sure that they attempt to do the bill in their head. If you just say , “no, I think it’s x” they start again and get to an agreeable number, or find a calculator. I don’t think it’s a malicious attempt to swindle people. Just not great arithmetic.
    • There are excellent charities like the Greenwich Wildlife Network who will help if you report any concerns with local wildlife. Foxes are wonderful creatures who had been forced into our town and cities and are just doing their best to survive, we should take care of them when we can.
    • Like I thought… prob like that for most of the day.. especially after people had walked their dogs, with friends, relatives  kids…
