jcw101
Hi all,Just to let you know that Bumps & Babes will not be on next week, Monday 23rd July, due to the hall being in use. There are also a couple of dates in August the hall is not available - 6th and 27th, so there will be no session then. At the moment though it will be on on the other Mondays throughout the holidays. For those of you who haven't been to the group before it is in the Goose Green Centre (next to the church) on a Monday 10-12. It's a very relaxed, drop-in session so if little ones don't let you get there until 11 that's fine! It is ?1 and tea, coffee and biscuits are provided. There are toys, soft mats and musical instruments to keep babies and toddlers entertained and lots of friendly mums (& dads!) to chat to about all sorts.Hope to see you all soon,Jo, Amy & Gill Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24552-bumps-babes-goose-green-hall/ Share on other sites
ccollins79
HiI'm just wondering what age children are usually at this group. I have a 3 1/2 year old and 16m old - is there toys for them or is it more aimed at smaller babies? Thanks,Caroline Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/24552-bumps-babes-goose-green-hall/#findComment-561710 Share on other sites
jcw101
Hi Caroline,To be honest it is aimed more at younger ones but we wouldn't want to turn anyone away. You are more than welcome to come along in a couple of weeks when we are back on and see what you think! sunbob
A friend and I who have been before were wondering the same. We both have under 1s plus a 3.5 yr old. I think for me it would depend what mood toddler is in on the day. If she seems ready to play, read, help babies etc then it may work, if she then reverted to her more usual boisterous self we would go to the g green playground opposite instead (weather permitting). cashewnut
I've been along a few times and wish I'd found this group early on. It's mostly about sitting around chatting, with mats and toys for babies that want to play. I think it would have been great with a really little one - no pretence that the baby is involved in some kind of organised activity! crystal7
It's a fab little group that I only discovered with my 2nd. Definitely better for smaller babies but depends on the nature of your toddler I suppose! Has been a real life saver for my crawling monster on wet mornings. Sadly I won't be able to go back as my 3 year old's nursery days have changed so I need to find something for both of them on a Monday morning.
