Hi, my name is Margot. I am 29, French and I moved to London 2.5 years ago to become a legal adviser in a multilateral development bank. I have a bachelor in law and two masters in international and European law. Within my profession I mainly work on environmental law issues and alternative dispute resolution mechanisms.

I started tutoring when I was at university to secondary and high school students. For about 5 years I helped them with their lessons in the following topics: French, English, Maths, History, Geography and Biology.

I am looking for new students in the area where I live (Peckham/East Dulwich) to tutor after my work.

My tutoring skills are based on communication and adaptation. Every student is different but all have the same potential to understand, assimilate and therefore to learn!

Dear Margot, I am looking for someone to give me French lessons online while we are in lockdown. I have been having lessons at the Institute Francais since January at B1-3 level. Their classes have gone on line but am finding that group lessons online dont give me the opportunity to practice my spoken French very much.

I live in East Dulwich. Is this something you might be able to help me with. I am a retired woman of 63 years of age.

Many thanks Jane

Bonjour Jane,

Thank you very much for reaching out to me!

I will be very happy to help you with your practice of French.

At the moment, during the confinement period I only give online classes via Skype. Would that work for you? Also, would you like to have a first meeting on Skype in the coming days to talk about the lessons and what exactly you expect from them?

Many thanks and kind regards,

Margot

    • The actual problem is thieves trespassing on your property and stealing your property. But yes, let’s list the companies we buy from who deliver carelessly and then we can collectively avoid them. I’ll start. John Lewis - has to be signed for Forthglade - has to be signed for Amazon - will leave on doorstep but detailed tracking is available so there is time to ask a neighbour to pick it up, or to be home yourself Ebay - seller specific. You can ask (before you buy/pay) for the item to be posted recorded delivery or with tracking. The things I bought all needed to be signed for.
    • Famous politician who is corrupt getting an award from a famous organisation with strong allegations of corruption. What a coincidence.  Then the next day Trump says the NFL should consider a new name that isn't "football". Funny how he came up with that idea so suddenly....
    • Not in my bit. It's also people in vans. Though on occasion it is the PO, but not exclusively. It may be based on the size of parcel, or the number. Or possibly whether you're a Prime Customer.
    • Many of the goods available on Amazon aren't dispatched from an Amazon facility but direct from the supplier who use their own couriers which can include the post office. This is indicated in the item's information by the 'fulfilled by' information.  Amazon themselves are certainly still delivering in Dulwich. Don't want to jinx it but I'm finding RM tracked deliveries very reliable. Even DPD messed up one of my deliveries this week but all now resolved.
