From Friday's South London Press:

"A man and a woman were seriously injured after a collision between a car and a motorbike in Lordship Lane, East Dulwich, on Wednesday afternoon.

Traffic was brought to a standstill after the crash, which left the bike trapped against a tree.

The bike rider and passenger, both 23, were taken to King's Hospital [sic] in Denmark Hill.

Their injuries are not thought to be life-threatening..."

So, not for the first time, gruesome hearsay on this forum is shown to be wrong. It would be good if we could just hear the facts, particularly as misinformation could easily lead to great distress for the family and friends of those involved. • Our lovely 4 bed family house is available to rent for 3 weeks in August. It is newly refurbished. The dates are flexible. We have just listed it on air b and b. It is near North Dulwich station so an easy walk to Dulwich village and Herne Hill. If anyone is interested in taking it for the whole time we can do a deal on the price and if you book it not through air b and b it can be cheaper. https://www.airbnb.co.uk/rooms/1451281327309758537?check_in=2025-08-08&check_out=2025-08-15&search_mode=regular_search&source_impression_id=p3_1750936175_P3KnShX5BZbLc4Of&previous_page_section_name=1000&federated_search_id=a8509fed-1030-4cce-a3e8-57cadd5a1693

    • Hello, I'm from Ireland and would love my children to be able to know the language - I can speak it but I'm not so good at teaching it. If there's anyone local who used to teach Irish at primary school (preferably Connemara Irish) and who'd like to tutor 3 boys aged 7-10 for an hour or two a week please do let me know. Thanks, Sarah
